Our focus
as an international law firm
For more than 20 years, our firm has advised small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs on a wide range of business law matters. Particular areas of focus include the legal support of entrepreneurial decision-making, the structuring of corporate entities, and advice in crisis and restructuring situations.
Our practice operates from two locations. In addition to our principal office in Berlin, we work closely with our office in Waren (Müritz), where tax advisory and audit expertise is concentrated.

Attorney-at-Law
As founder of the firm, Hans-Jörg Briest is responsible for the legal practice, with a focus on business law, corporate law and employment law. His particular expertise lies in restructuring and turnaround situations, including insolvency-related matters.
Ben Taubenek
Attorney-at-Law
Ben Taubenek supports the firm in providing legal advice and handling business law matters. His work includes, in particular, legal research, the preparation of legal concepts and strategies, and assisting in the ongoing advisory support of businesses and entrepreneurs.

Tax Advisor
Petra Manewald is responsible for advising on tax law matters and developing tax strategies for small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurs. Her work also includes the preparation of corporate tax returns and annual financial statements, as well as representing clients before the tax authorities and the fiscal courts.
Matthias Berles
Certified Public Auditor
Matthias Berles is responsible for the audit practice and for the preparation and audit of annual and consolidated financial statements. His work also includes statutory and regulatory audits (including audits pursuant to Section 34c of the German Trade Regulation Act (GewO) in conjunction with Section 16 of the German Real Estate Agents and Property Developers Regulation (MaBV), Section 55(3) of the German Cooperative Societies Act (GenG), and Section 53 of the German Budgetary Principles Act (HGrG)), business advisory services, and company valuations.
